On March 28, Arkema, a global leader in Specialty Materials, hosted a 20th anniversary celebration event at its organic peroxide site at Changshu that also inaugurated the site’s newly expanded production capacity. This milestone marks the successful completion of another key growth project for the Group. The expansion has increased the site’s organic peroxide production capacity by 2.5 times, further strengthening Arkema’s ability to serve high-growth markets across Asia, particularly in critical sectors such as renewable energy.
Government officials and distinguished guests attended the event alongside Tilo QUINK, Senior Vice President of the Arkema Group; Romuald DE HAUT DE SIGY, President of Arkema Group Functional Additives Business; Julie Xiaoyu ZHANG, President of Arkema Greater China; Jun SUN, Regional President of Functional Additives Business in Asia. Key customers, partners, media representatives, and employees were also invited to mark this significant milestone together.
Since the launch of its first production line in 2005, Arkema’s Changshu organic peroxide site has become a key part of the Group’s global organic peroxide production network. As one of the world’s leading suppliers of organic peroxides, this expansion represents another significant growth initiative for Arkema at a global scale that further bolsters our aim to serve the ever-evolving demands for specialty materials in China and across the Asia."
The successful completion of Arkema’s Changshu organic peroxide expansion project has accelerated the industrial validation of several highly efficient new technologies. Throughout this expansion, Arkema has implemented advanced measures aimed at optimizing production processes and reducing overall environmental footprint. These efforts enhanced the plant’s green operations and further improved the sustainability of downstream end products offered to customers.
