From April 21 to 24, Arkema will attend Chinaplas 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. As demand for sustainable consumption and industrial transformation continues to grow, Arkema will be showcasing its expertise in five key sectors: lifestyle, mobility, cutting-edge manufacturing, industry, and polymer additives. Backed by a well-established and highly mature local supply network, Arkema is well positioned to support the fast-expanding and increasingly diverse markets across Asia and beyond.

At this year’s exhibition, Arkema is showcasing specialty material solutions that span multiple key market sectors, including new mobility, sports and leisure, consumer electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, water treatment, and polymer production. These materials combine outstanding properties such as high durability, lightweight performance, bio-based content, recyclability, and precision efficiency, empowering customers to confidently address evolving industry challenges.

Meet us at Booth B67 - HALL 7.2

We believe that maximizing the value of material innovation requires deep co-creation with our customers. Whether in sustainable lifestyles, mobility, or advanced manufacturing, we aim to engage early on in our customers’ application development processes in order to work together and refine solutions around real needs. Our goal is to leverage our continuously strengthening local supply and service capabilities to support customers to efficiently transform innovative ideas into market-ready outcomes.”

High-performance materials in everyday consumer scenarios

From optical eyewear, sports footwear and equipment, textiles, wearable devices, AR/VR glasses, and medical devices to numerous critical components in new energy vehicles, Arkema’s material solutions being displayed at the exhibition demonstrate the broad application of high-performance materials in everyday consumer scenarios.

Arkema’s ABC (Advanced Bio-based Circular) high-performance materials such as Rilsan® PA11, Pebax® thermoplastic elastomers and Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamides, achieve an excellent balance of durability, lightness, flexibility, comfort, and chemical resistance. These materials are extending the sustainability advantages of bio-based solutions into daily sports, leisure, and low-carbon mobility applications. Notably,

  • Rilsan® PA11 is 100% derived from castor beans, fully recyclable, and offers an approximately 80% lower carbon footprint compared to traditional petroleum-based materials.
  • Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamide range is BPA-free, combining ultra-lightweight properties, high transparency, high impact resistance, and excellent chemical resistance, making it ideal for transparent applications across food contact, kitchen appliances, consumer electronics, eyewear, medical, and industrial sectors.

High-performance material solutions designed for cutting-edge applications

In the advanced manufacturing field, Arkema is presenting high-performance material solutions designed for cutting-edge applications such as advanced electronics, electric vehicles, and semiconductors. For example:

  • Kynar® PVDF has been successfully used for over 30 years in ultrapure water piping systems and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • A wide range of Zenimid™ polyimide products, developed by PI Advanced Materials (PIAM) is also showcasing, including films, pastes, powders, and preformed parts. These products deliver exceptional thermomechanical, electrical, and chemical resistance properties, enabling customers to achieve technological breakthroughs in more demanding, high-quality industrial environments.

High-performance additive solutions

Efficiency and stability in polymer production are equally critical to end-product quality and overall manufacturing performance. At the exhibition, Arkema is also highlighting a series of high-performance additive solutions that further reinforce its leadership in industrial materials. Among them,

  • Luperox® is a family of organic peroxides that Arkema has been developing since 1953. These are backed by extensive technical expertise and innovation to support high-performance applications across packaging, construction, automotive, and new energy industries.
  • Tippox™ 2028 addresses thermal stability challenges in PMMA processing by offering more targeted stabilization solutions. It helps customers increase processing temperatures and output, reduce defects and VOC emissions, and further optimize production efficiency and operating costs.

Expansion of local production capacities

As material innovation expands into broader consumer and industrial applications, regional supply capabilities have become an increasingly critical focal point for customers. Since the beginning of this year, Arkema has continued to strengthen its capacity and supply network across Asia to better serve customers and respond quickly to regional market demand:

  • A new production unit for Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamide in Singapore has officially become operational, making Arkema the largest producer of transparent polyamides in Asia.
  • The expansion of the Kynar® PVDF plant in Changshu has been officially announced and is expected to bolster local supply’s reliability by 2028.
  • In addition, the expansion of Arkema’s Luperox® organic peroxide facility in Changshu was completed in March 2025, further supporting the rapidly transforming demands for specialty materials in China and across Asia.
